For people who need to apply for grants from home, the federal government makes the applications available online. Complete these application forms properly, and do your best not to leave any blanks.

Send the application. When you’re done with the application, you have to submit it to the government offices. It is also possible that some types of government grants will require you to submit a hard copy of your application in addition to the online information you’ve supplied.

When you’re done with all the steps mentioned, wait for a response from the agency. Usually they send their responses in two or three weeks. Be wary if a response comes much sooner than that – it’s probably a scam. Just be careful and do everything by the book.
